Dr. Lance Askildson is Provost & Senior Vice-President and Professor of Linguistics at Chaminade University of Honolulu. 

Dr. Askildson also serves as United Nations Fellow for sustainable development and is the founder and Chairman of the United Nations Institute for Training & Research regional center in Honolulu (CIFAL Honolulu). 

Dr. Askildson is a scholar of second language acquisition, language learning technology and international studies and the former managing editor of IALLT Journal for Language Learning Technology. He is the former Executive Secretary of the International Association for Language Learning Technology; a trustee and board member of the Center for the Advanced Study of International Education; and a founding member of the board for the federally funded Title VI National Foreign Language Resource Center on Language Assessment & Evaluation based at Georgetown University.
