Retired civilian Public Affairs Officer with more than 40 years experience with the Hawaii Army National Guard, Air Force in Hawaii and HQ, U.S. Pacific Command. Career experience range from special event planning, military and community relations and liaison, foreign and military protocol and media relations.
Served as USPACOM Chief of Community Relations for 18 years with Hawaii’s top business, cultural, civic and government organizations. Planned and coordinated local itinerary and speaking engagments for USPACOM commanders and senior military staff officers. Coordinated joint service military support for civilian memorial and ceremonial events. Managed the media and community relations programs for the 15th Air Base Wing at Hickam AFB for 12 years. Organized the civilian support group, Friends of Hickam, for Air Force Hawaii units. Served as an information specialist with the Hawaii Army National Guard for 23 years. Served as photographer to former Hawaii Governor, George R. Ariyoshi. Attended Chaminade College majoring in Fine Arts.
Since retiring in 2010, formed FUJII 3 Communications, LLC, a full-service public relations/communications company. Member of Wounded Warrior Ohana, a local organization focused of veterans of all wars and their families.
