Harlan Lee is President/CEO of Harlan Lee & Associates LLC, a government contracting company based in the Washington DC area.

Prior to that, he was a State Department career Foreign Service Officer, with assignments in Asia and the Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. He served in a number of consular assignments, including U.S. Consul General in Kaduna, Nigeria; American Consul in Suva, Fiji; and head of the American Consulate in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He was Assistant Chief of Protocol and Executive Director of the Office of Protocol and Blair House, the President's Guesthouse, until 1995, and Protocol Advisor to the Director, 1997 Denver Summit of the Eight. He served as a Foreign Affairs Consultant to the State of Hawaii Department of Planning and Economic Development, and Special Assistant for International Affairs in the Mayor's Office, Seattle.

He is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and an authority on green conferencing. He received an Asian Business Leadership Award from the U.S.-Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce and Wells Fargo Bank in 2007.
