Asoka K. Silva’s journey is a testament to the American Dream. Born and raised in Ratmalana, Sri Lanka, he moved to Hawai’i in 1989 with nothing but determination and the will to succeed. Over the past 30 years, he has built an impressive legacy in his new home. 

Starting with various entry-level jobs, Mr. Silva’s hard work and dedication saw him rise through the ranks to hold supervisory and general manager positions in multiple private companies and US Defense Facilities. His diverse experiences and acquired skills eventually led him to establish his own company, a successful tour and transport company, which he continues to own and operate.

Mr. Silva’s passion extends beyond his business endeavors; he is deeply committed to giving back to his homeland, Sri Lanka. This commitment is reflected in his role as the Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in Hawai’i, a position he regards as a lifetime honor. In this role, his goal is to unite the Sri Lankan community in Hawai’i and to foster strong connections between Hawai’i, the United States, and Sri Lanka, ensuring mutual growth and prosperity for all. Through his story, Mr. Silva demonstrates that with hard work, determination, and initiative, one can truly live the American Dream.
