Theres Ryf Desai is a registered architect from Switzerland. She earned a Master’s in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich. She is a partner at Hopaka LLC., an architectural consulting and investment firm she co-owns with her husband, Pravin Desai. Before this, she gained extensive experience working with Honolulu-based architectural and engineering firms, focusing on urban planning, innovative design, and sustainability.

As Honorary Consul of Switzerland, Ms. Desai is dedicated to strengthening cultural and economic ties between Switzerland and Hawai’i. She maintains close relations with the government of Hawai’i, supports the local Swiss community, and assists Swiss visitors in need. Ms. Desai takes great pride in representing Switzerland’s values and heritage.
