Honorary Consul Johann Urschitz

Dr. Urschitz is an Assistant Professor and Researcher at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii.

His research interests include the study of the molecular mechanisms underlying the long-term adverse outcomes for mother and child as a consequence of disturbances in maternal nutrition during pregnancy.

Dr. Urschitz received a graduate degree in Biotech Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim, Germany and a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Hawaii.
