Honorary Consul Jeffrey Daniel Lau

Mr. Lau is a senior director of Ogawa Lau Nakamura & Jew, Attorneys At Law, A Law Corporation. He is also Assistant Secretary and a Director of Finance Factors and Finance Enterprises. He is also Past President and Trustee Emeritus of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, its legal counsel and Chair of its International Relations Committee and the Mayor's Liaison for most of the Chinese Sister Cities with Honolulu. He serves as a Trustee on the Executive Committee of the University of Hawaii Foundation and serves on other boards including University of California Hastings College of Law Foundation, Shidler College of Business Alumni Assn., Finance Enterprises Foundation and the Hawaii Youth Soccer Association. He is also President of the Hawaii Lehigh University Alumni Club.

He formerly served in the United States Army as an Adjutant General Corps officer in the Military District of Washington in the Pentagon and on the Hill in Washington D.C. for U.S. Senator Hiram L. Fong (deceased). He had the honor of serving as a clerk for US 9th Circuit Judge Herbert Y.C. Choy and Hawaii US District Court Judge Dick Yin Wong before embarking on his legal career.

He is presently serving as Vice Dean of the Consular Corps of Hawaii.
