John Henry served four terms, a total of 16 years, as a Honolulu Council member. A University of Oxford M.A. graduate, Fellow, and member of its governing body, John Henry also serves as Chair of Oxford's Harris Manchester College Board of Regents. He earned his P.h.D. at Walden University in Public Administration. John Henry is the author of eight books and numerous articles and papers on government, governance and volunteer development. An Eagle Scout, John Henry remains active with the Boy Scout movement and the March of Dimes. He is the first American to be awarded the International Red Cross Dunant Metal (1963 ) for outstanding humanitarian service during armed conflict.
